Reflections from 2020:

When you're raised to see the world divided into two types of people, and told you're the good kind, it's a shock when you find yourself on the other side of a locked door when you disagree. Terror gave way to peace once I realized the world was not divided that way at all. In the end, I was only cut off from those inside the wall because they had built it, not the other way around.
