Mermaid is the lead single from the album, Reset to Factory Specs. It's about finding your people, no matter what limitations and expectations have tried to keep you tied where you don't belong.

Anyone who's come out to their community or loved ones and been rejected for it knows that chosen family can be a lifeline. Finding my voice as a queer, autistic, non-binary artist has let me be a lighthouse for others like me, adding to the chorus of everyone who's come before me.

This song celebrates identity, the long road to figuring yourself out, and the underwater party where one day you're gonna feel right at home.
